Anxiety can be caused by many things, like a sudden trauma however for many people it may seem that we just woke up an emotional wreck. However you found yourself feeling like this, there are ways to get yourself feeling better about the situation.

But remember one thing. There is usually a reason why you have these intense feelings and you need to figure out the underlying issues so you can work on them. Like this method and the next, they will just help you survive the moments and it is always better to tackle the issue at source. - Sit Up
Preferable with your shoes off place your feet flat on the ground.
Concentrate on making sure you have a good posture and with your eyes closed but they can be open.
Push the balls of your feet into the ground as hard as you can.
Feel the pressure on your feet and then switch to placing that pressure to your heal.
Notice the feelings on each part of your foot and how this transfers into your calve muscle in your leg as how it gets tight.
Relax and cunt to 5 seconds and repeat this process but try to do this in conjunction with focusing on your breath.
